Wood Care Instructions

All of our wooden items are handcrafted with care and made to last. To keep them looking their best, please follow these care guidelines: 1. Keep Dry Avoid exposing your wood pieces to excessive moisture or direct water. Do not submerge in water or place in the dishwasher. 2. Clean Gently Wipe clean with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or scrubbing pads. 3. Avoid Direct Sunlight & Extreme Heat Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat may cause fading, warping, or cracking. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use. 4. Handling Handle with care to avoid scratches, dents, or chipped paint/finishes. 5. Finishes & Sealing Some pieces are sealed for protection; others are left in a natural finish to maintain their rustic charm. If you'd like to add extra protection, a light coat of clear, non-toxic wood sealer can be applied (test on a small area first). Note: Each piece is unique due to natural wood variations. Minor imperfections, knots, or grain differences add to the character of the item and are not considered flaws.

Indoor Use Recommended Unless specifically labeled for outdoor use, all items are intended for indoor or covered porch display only. Exposure to direct sunlight, wind, rain, or humidity can cause fading, warping, or damage over time. 2. Dusting & Cleaning Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth or feather duster. For delicate elements (like faux flowers, ribbons, or painted details), use gentle air (e.g., a blow dryer on cool/low) to remove dust. Do not use water, cleaning sprays, or chemicals, as they may damage the finish or materials. 3. Storage Store wreaths and signs in a cool, dry area, ideally in a protective box or bag. To prevent crushing, hang or lay flat with support behind delicate elements like bows or florals. Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture during storage. 4. Handling Handle with care when moving or hanging your piece. Avoid pulling on embellishments like bows, flowers, or lettering, as these are securely attached but still delicate. 5. Mounting & Hanging Use proper hanging hardware that can support the weight of the item. For wreaths, use a wreath hook or ribbon; for signs, use nails, sawtooth hangers, or command strips depending on the design. Always check that the surface and method are secure before hanging.
